Job Description for Systems Administrator Position 

  

Role Introduction:  

My client is embarking on an exciting growth and transformation phase and is seeking to recruit a Systems Administrator on the Infrastructure Team to provide L2 support to key infrastructure to the our technology stack.  

  

The successful candidate will day-to-day live operational systems support and administration of operational services to the business, ensuring any incidents are promptly resolved.  

  

Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementation of new and current technologies. 

  

Co-ordinate and manage changes to processes or technology to allow the business to be as innovative, efficient and competitive as possible.  

  

Work location:  

Hybrid/Ireland HQ Dublin 2 

  

Key Responsibilities:

The Candidate should have the following: 

  

Strong IT Core skills with supporting qualifications 

  

  • Understanding of Microsoft O365 Productivity Suite, VMware, HP Blade Server and Storage Technologies, MS SQL, IIS, Linux. 

  • Understand basic network concepts – VLANs, ACLs, routing, DHCP, VMware networking 

  • General understanding of a variety of operating systems – Windows 2019, RedHat Linux, etc. 

  • Ability to work in a complex technical environment incorporating DR, Resiliency, HA, with a focus on best practice solutions. 

  • Experience working in and administering Azure Environments 

  • Experience of working IT Operations, demonstrating knowledge of relevant principles, methods, techniques and tools for the effective management of stable operations. 

  • Leading and coordinating the resolution of complex issues where responsibility is split across multiple service providers 

  • Excellent organisational and presentation skills.
