Senior Finance Business Partner 
Location: North Dublin and Hybrid 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time qualified accountant to join our client’s finance team on a permanent basis, supporting the significant growth of the business which has occurred over the last number of years into the future.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the ambitious individual will have full financial responsibility for several significant contracts within our portfolio which they will own from start to finish. The successful candidate will also have a team of 2-3 Finance Business Partners reporting into them who they will support, develop, and nurture for future growth.


  • Prepare monthly management accounts for some of the company’s largest contracts to include Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reconciliations with variances to budget and forecast and review of same with the Operations Managers to strict deadlines.
  • Apply analytical skills beyond the traditional functions of finance, bringing them to bear on a broad range of commercial issues.
  • Creating an active partnership between finance and operations to drive business decisions and strategy.
  • Liaise with Contract Managers on all financial and commercial aspects of the contracts to drive a control environment & profitability. Ensuring that all financial issues (including all billing) are closed out in a timely manner.
  • Ability to communicate monthly results to management team on a timely basis in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to link information from several different systems to produce meaningful information.
  • Strong analytical skills to make recommendations where savings could be made/sales increased.
  • In-depth customer profitability analysis across all product ranges highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure working capital is optimised whilst providing clear visibility to the business on noncurrent debt.
  • Ensure compliance with Group controls and procedures in relation to cash.
  • Project work outside of month end will include exposure to budgeting, forecasting, external audit, tax compliance and systems implementation.
  • Provide leadership and direction to a team of 2-3 Finance Business Partners to ensure they are engaged, focused, developed and delivering to their potential.
About You: 
  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified accountant with at least 2 years’ experience in a commercial setting.
  • Highly analytical - ability to extract, understand and interpret data to drive change.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Previous management experience desired but not essential. More important than experience is that the successful candidate is supportive, empathetic, and driving the right behaviours.
