Principal Accountabilities

  1. Daily maintenance, monitoring and support of the IT server and systems infrastructure on premise and the Azure cloud.
  2. Responsible for implementing, maintaining, supporting, developing and in some cases, designing environments which involve Azure Cloud based service components, including public and hybrid
  3. Works with the ICT teams to integrate cloud solutions with existing enterprise tools and systems
  4. Assist IT Security to maintain cloud security
  5. Provide level 3 support for the IT Service Desk
  6. Keeps up to date with emerging cloud technologies
  7. Procurement of IT services and solutions
  8. Develop and implement IT standards and procedures in line with industry trends
  9. Co-ordination and liaison with all other IT staff / areas
  10. Participate in scheduled out of hours activity and join the Out of Hours on call rota
  11. Contribute to the overall performance of the IT Infrastructure and Operations team, including training and cross skilling

Knowledge

  • Third level qualification in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Azure AD and Microsoft 365
  • Excellent Knowledge of Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, Sharepoint Online and Onedrive
  • Strong knowledge across Microsoft cloud technologies, including but not limited to Power Apps, InTune and Defender
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft ADFS
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Server operating systems, Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SCCM, SCOM and PKI
  • Knowledge of Virtualistation technologies
  • Knowledge of Cloud Backup technologies
  • Azure Cloud service deployment, security, encryption, identity & authentication, traffic analysis, and related techniques

 

Familiarity or qualifications in the following areas would be a distinct advantage:

  • VMware vSphere and horizon for VDI
  • SWIFT Payments System
  • Financial application systems
  • Unix/Linux Operating System Administration
  • Public sector procurement

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an IT Support role
