***Engineering Manager - DevOps Engineer***

Salary £100,000-£140,000 + Equity
Location: South East London - 4 Days in Office per week

Our client is a rapidly working start up, who provide a suite of information and data processing software products, are currently on the lookout for an Engineering Manager (DevOps) .


Are you accountable, self-motivated, and always driven to do better? Are you meticulous and business-focused? If so, we are seeking a talented and passionate DevOps Leader to join our team. The DevOps Leader will be responsible for driving state-of-the-art automation and providing DevOps process leadership across the organization.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience with Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, and methods..
  • Kubernetes - Ideally K8's certified although not a mandatory requirement
  • Terraform (Ideally they bring plus 1 toolkits such as terragrun ansible etc)
  • Knowledge of application development and release cycles (DEV/QA/UAT/PROD) including pipelines
  • JavaScript/Typescript Experience an advantage.
  • Provides guidance to less experienced team members on defined procedures and may supervise/coordinate work of support individual contributors
  • Industry experience in Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), Unix System Administration (RHEL, CentOS, OEL), Storage Architecture (Block, File and Object) and Software Defined Storage (Ceph Storage, Commvault)
  • Practical experience managing a large number of distributed systems using configuration management or software delivery platforms. (Chef, Ansible)

Nice to haves:
  • Previous experience setting up Big Data tooling e.g knows how to setup Spark on a cluster including resource provisioning
  • Background in financial services, hedge funds, or similar.
  • Previous start up experience.
