Technical Pre Sales Account Manager

Role Profile: Reporting to the Sales Manager, the position of Pre-Sales Technical Account Manager is a key role within the Team. The primary function of this role is to develop and lead a Pre-sales technical team across a range of technologies. To ensure partners are technically enabled to sell, implement and support our product set.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Assist the B2B sales team with technical configurations across enterprise class server, storage, cloud, back up and compliance solutions
• Assist with customer engagements as an extended Presales Resource for the Partner
• Be the voice of Exertis for technical engagement with partners
• Facilitate the Sales Life Cycle along with the Partner
• Complete Technical Closure if required
• Enable the Partner to Articulate the Vendor message, discover new opportunities, and Close Deals
• Sales & Presales Enablement
• Provide support services
• Leverage Vendor programs for Enablement activities.

Education / Professional Qualifications:

• Engineering Degree or equivalent
• Industry Certification advantageous - CCNA, CCNP, Dell TA or equivalent
• Knowledge & experience with Dell/EMC, VM ware, Cisco would be an advantage
• 3 to 5 years in similar role. Skill Sets
• Some experience of server, storage, security solution deployment and management
• Understanding of the OSI Layer including protocols HTTP, TCP/IP, IPSEC.
• Knowledge of virtualisation and cloud technologies
• Knowledge of the following technologies: Datacentre Server & Storage, Routing, Switching, VPN, LAN, WAN, Network Security, Intrusion Detection, and Anti-Virus
• Understanding of encryption and authentication technologies
• Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
• Proficient spoken and written English
• Willingness to learn new technologies
• Willing to travel to meetings, events and customer sites as necessary
