Senior Database Developer

Our financial services client with centre of excellent office in Dublin and who recently were awarded as 'Best Place to Work for 2023' are looking for a Senior Database Engineer.   This is an excellent company with top of the range tech stack and who offer a very flexible hybrid working model.   
 
This job is very exciting where you will work with top tier tech stack and within the Senior Database Engineer job you will be hands-on building a world leading end-to-end system.
 
Key Requirements:

• Expert level knowledge in various relational and non-relational database technologies, ideally PostgreSQL.
• Hands on working with SQL, PL/SQL for structured and non-structured data, and SQL & ORM Query optimization and tuning.
• Experience in understanding enterprise data architecture concepts, master data management, data modeling and design techniques.
• Must be able to identify and implement improvements for database tables/schemas by indexing, keys, costing, etc.
• Familiarity with supporting databases in an AWS Cloud Infrastructure environment.
• Hands on working knowledge of Cloud Databases especially Azure Managed Databases such as Postgres

 
Within this job as Senior Database Engineer you will gain experience in Cloud Database management, PowerBI and Tableau, while also working in an Agile environment with Ci/CD tools.  This job will provide you with the opportunity to work with different internal teams and business units learning new concepts and technologies and ensuring you have positive relationships within the company.
