Data Architect – Contract – Fully Remote

The purpose of this role is to enhance the governance capabilities for our client, working with the Business Engagement lead and Head of Global Data Governance to raise the level of data quality and controls over their data.  Implementation of a federated analytics platform drives the need to manage the enterprise data more effectively and multiple programmes of work require governance team input to ensure consistency of governance across the organisation.

You'll be playing a vital part in the success of data governance, ensuring the build of the right data capabilities & controls.
We're looking for someone with the desire to take ownership and drive change and has experience with improving information availability & governance.

Data Modeller

• Modelling Data Domains
• Refining ownership, quality, access criteria
• Resolving Master, Reference & Business functional data models
• Understanding of Data Catalog modelling e.g. Alation/Collibra
• Understanding of Data modelling in a complex organisation
• Strong Data Analysis skills

Data Governance Policy writer/analyst

• Develop Data Governance Policy & Guidelines e.g. data quality, data sharing
• Translate data policy needs into actions
• Creating data readiness standards and guidelines for new federated data analytics platform
• Working with Data owners to ensure business rules are define
• Make recommendations identified through observations, audits and from engaging with data owners & stewards
• Provide awareness & training content around policy adoption and implementation
• Understanding of Enterprise Data Models in large organisations
