Position: Financial Controller

Role Overview:
As the Financial Controller, you will play a critical role in managing and overseeing the financial operations of our Investment Management client. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, analyzing financial data, and providing strategic financial insights to senior management. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in investment management, financial analysis, and accounting principles, along with exceptional attention to detail and a proven ability to drive financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
- Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct comprehensive financial analyses, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and financial modeling to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop financial strategies, forecasts, and budgets that align with the company's goals and objectives.
- Monitor and analyze investment performance, identifying areas for improvement and recommending appropriate actions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, auditors, and external partners.
- Provide financial guidance and support to cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of financial discipline and accountability.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualified Accountant
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Financial Controller/Accountant or similar role within the Investment Management industry.
- Strong knowledge of investment management principles, financial analysis, and accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, financial modelling, and budgeting.
- Proficient in utilizing financial management software and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Proven leadership capabilities and the ability to manage and motivate a high-performing team.
