HR Support Specialist

Location: Monaghan, Co. Ireland

They are currently seeking a skilled HR Support Specialist to join their team and make a positive impact on the workforce.

Main Purpose of the Role:
As an HR Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing effective HR support to our sites in the UK and Ireland. Your mission is to deliver a high level of service and operational advice consistent with company and legal requirements.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and support to Managers on various HR matters including conduct, capability, grievance, and employee relations.
  • Guide and assist managers through employee relations cases, ensuring compliance with policies and employment law.
  • Manage sickness absence cases, collaborate with Occupational Health, and oversee referrals for Group Income Protection scheme.
  • Offer advisory services to employees regarding their rights and entitlements.
  • Assist with HR administrative tasks, including ordering supplies, managing time and attendance systems, and overseeing employee probationary records.
  • Contribute to HR system administration, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in HR systems, practices, and policies.
  • Stay up-to-date with employment legislation and share knowledge with the team.
  • Collaborate with the HR team on various projects and activities to achieve business objectives.

Person Specification:       
  • CIPD qualified to level 3 or working towards    
  • Generalist HR experience
  • Recruitment experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing company - desired.
  • Knowledge of UK Employment Law
  • Experience with Zellis HR system or similar - desired.
  • Effective relationship-building skills 
  • Confident in delivering feedback and communicatio
  • Experience in producing concise correspondence and reports
