Cloud Engineer – contract – Galway

We are currently looking for Senior Cloud Engineers with data expertise to work for our financial services client based in Galway on a 

The role:
You will be focusing on delivering cloud-native digital solutions by extracting, processing & loading data into an Oracle-based RDS where scalability, stability, and security are our highest priority.

The Expertise You Have:

• 5+ years of experience in a Cloud Engineer role
• Effective hands-on experience with AWS services such as KMS, S3, Batch, IAM roles & policies, RDS, CFT, VPC, Lambda, Event Bridge, Cloud trail, Security policies, EKS, EC2, ECS, and similarly effective
• Large data movement (batch & real-time) using SQL and Python into AWS-based Oracle RDMS (Oracle on EC2 or AWS RDS). 
• With strong SRE observability experience as well as Python hands-on & monitoring automation systems such as CloudWatch and Datadog or Splunk. Datadog preferred.
• Experience with Kafka, YugabyteDB, and Java REST/GraphQL APIs is a plus.
• Test Automation and CICD, pipeline automation knowledge as good experience to GitHub, Jenkins, Docker, JMeter, Artifactory, Kubernetes
• AWS Certified preferred.

• Ability to effectively collaborate in an agile team.
• Willingness to work on different initiatives/technologies.
• Understanding of Cloud engineering implementation focused on moving large batch/real-time data infrastructure.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving
• Integrating modern SaaS solutions and vendors with existing systems and services
• Migrating legacy products to reduce technical debt.
