Senior Java developer – Up to €550/day – Galway

We're looking for a skilled Java Developer to be a key player in shaping the future of our client's distributed, single-page, and transaction-based applications. Using Agile practices, you'll join a team responsible for core application development and support services, serving both internal and external systems. Collaboration is at the core of what the team does, working on technology-based projects in conjunction with other systems divisions, customers, and clients.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Proficiency in Java/J2EE development for enterprise-level applications.
• Expertise in Spring (MVC, Boot, Security).
• Experience in constructing frameworks for modern transactional and data processing applications.
• Strong multitasking and organization skills in a dynamic work environment.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies such as SCRUM, Extreme Programming, TDD, etc.
• Effective verbal and written communication to engage team members actively.
• Understanding of Agile systems development techniques, including Continuous Integration (CI)/Continuous Deployment (CD) and DevOps.
• Previous experience working with development teams in an onshore-offshore model.

Desired experience or exposure to the following concepts and technologies:

• Application development using Java EE and the Spring framework.
• Strong Oracle experience, including the ability to write Stored Procedures, Complex Queries, and Triggers.
• Familiarity with Micro-Services Architecture concepts and emerging patterns like APIs, JAX-RS, REST/JSON.
