Job Overview:
The Plant Manager for Timberframe Production will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of our client's Timberframe facility in Longford, Ireland. Reporting directly to the Head of Timberframe Ireland, the ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in plant management, particularly within the Timberframe or modular build production industry. They will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production, maintenance, safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) on-site, while also collaborating closely with various management teams and stakeholders.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Actively promote and prioritize a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with safety, health, environment, and quality assurance standards.
  • Develop and execute the Longford production plan, collaborating with Design and Site Quality functions to optimize Timberframe processes.
  • Contribute to the development of the overall production strategy for the business, driving efficiencies and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor production performance against budget through agreed key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, development, and engagement initiatives in collaboration with HR, fostering a positive and productive work culture.
  • Establish regular production meetings to ensure alignment with the production plan and facilitate knowledge sharing among supervisors.
  • Form strong working relationships with supervisors to support their roles and promote best practices.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of capital investment and new product development projects.
  • Oversee operations across planning, design, production, and Timberframe erection, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
  • Foster a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Degree in Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, or related field; or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Plant/Site Management, preferably in Timberframe or modular building production.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in promoting a safe working environment and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Proven ability to streamline processes, drive efficiencies, and maximize outcomes.
  • Demonstrates leadership by example, with a proactive and "can-do" attitude.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to set and exceed goals, driving high levels of performance.
