Are you a Data Scientist looking to join an organisation who are focused on revolutionizing data-driven insights. Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join their dynamic team. As a key member, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of their organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership in statistics, statistical modelling, machine learning, data visualization, mining, and segmentation.
  • Conceptualize, analyze, build, test, and implement predictive models to understand events, forecast behaviour, and analyze risk.
  • Build and implement machine learning models, testing frameworks, and visualizations to influence the strategic direction of The Group.
  • Proactively research data, identify opportunities, and contribute to the development of the data roadmap.
  • Evaluate data comprehensively to solve business problems, focusing on driving actionable insights.
  • Clearly communicate data-driven results and recommendations to diverse technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Provide technical expertise to support enriched automated reporting and analytical insight for business improvement.
  • Drive a culture change around the purpose and use of data to ensure fact-based insights drive actions.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's/Master’s/PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, or a related quantitative field.
  • 4+ years of industry experience with expertise in Data Science and Machine Learning.
  • Proficient in R, Python, SQL.
  • Expertise in data mining, statistical modeling, and machine learning.
  • Strong quantitative analysis skills and experience in developing calculations for interpreting and assessing data sets.
  • Passion for optimizing business performance, client lifecycle, and client experience with data.
  • Understanding of Business Intelligence strategies/design related to data analysis.
  • Experience with BI tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, QlikView, and others.
  • Financial services and ideally general insurance experience strongly desired.
  • Good project management skills; experience managing projects/requests with multiple senior stakeholders.

  • Can work on own initiative, delivering best practice solutions aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Strong relationship builder, capable of managing internal and external executive stakeholders.
  • Able to lead, provide guidance, training, and problem-solving assistance to other team members.
